On
September 7th, 2013 Six Flags over Georgia hosted the rededication ceremony for
the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. A rededication celebration and ceremony
rejuvenates, re-energizes, and renews another exciting year of Girl Scouting.
Girl
Scouts and their troop leaders from across several cities in Georgia attended
the celebration and participated in the ceremony. The momentum and enthusiasm
was awesome. It was exciting to see the various levels of Girl Scouting from Girl
Scout Daisies through Girl Scout Ambassadors excited about being a part of Girl
Scouts.
Girls
from each level of Girl Scouting were interviewed to get an idea of what their
plans and goals would be for the upcoming year. Many of them plan to focus
their energy on working toward their Girl Scout Silver and Girl Scout Gold
awards, planning events that will be beneficial to their local communities such
as food and clothing initiatives. Many will work toward volunteering locally to
earn community service hours. While each troop will continue to meet as a
group, they will always reach out to meet new friends and continue to enjoy the
excitement that Girl Scouting brings to each of their troops.
From
the look of the energy levels at this event, Girl Scouting will bring another
exiting year of fun, good challenges, and many opportunities to make life
better for others and ourselves.
A day
enjoying the park was an exciting way to end this event by sharing, caring, and
taking in the fun in the sun.
